The Sterling Hotel - Sacramento

A very, very modest breakfast.

I loved the historic charm and personal service. I asked for a wake up call expecting an automated message and it was the voice of the person who checked me in!

Parking, poor staff, ac was terrible, load, worthless breakfast. Would no recommend the hotel to anyone.

Half amazing, half disappointing

Loved the decor and my comfortable bed! The location is perfect, right by the Capital Park. I had the best view from my room, a good surprise.

The parking situation was quite inconvenient, with lots being a long walk away. Customer service left something to be desired, especially at check-in.

An old building with history and charm, which was what we were looking for in our vacation.

We believed it to be a b&b from the google search done to find a place to stay in Sacramento. It was not up to the standard of a b&b, but fine for a hotel stay. Although, it was priced as a b&B.

We easily explored the nearby historic buildings and took a stroll along the riverfront. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and the jacuzzi was a nice touch. Just note the parking situation can be tricky with limited options around.

One downside was the lack of timely check-in assistance. The receptionist had a bit of an attitude when we arrived, disappointing.

The airport is 12 miles away, easy to get to. Efficient personnel is that worked the night shift.

Location: the hotel was close to nightlife, the center and nearby restaurants. The room I booked was could use updated bathroom and available with real furniture. The stay was really really nice and I would stay there again.

The parking signage could use improvement. A good experience in a beautiful setting!

I particularly enjoyed the cozy lobby, which was beautifully decorated and an inviting space to unwind. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was a bit of a hassle.

Great Location and Beautiful Building

The location was ideal, with access to downtown attractions, and the building itself is beautiful with lovely architectural details. The staff was friendly. The parking situation could be improved, as it can be tricky to find nearby options.

I had a good stay with a spacious room and an oversized jacuzzi tub. 24-Hour coffee and muffin snacks. The ambiance was charming and I loved the Victorian decor!
